Build the skills for your next move in AML and financial crime
Looking for your first AML role or preparing for more responsibility? We’ll define a realistic career goal and work on the skills you need for it. The programme combines career guidance, technical mentoring, practical exercises and interview practice, tailored to your starting point.
Banking, payments and gaming are the programme’s three main practice settings. You can learn to verify a customer, review transactions, explain your decision and document an escalation.
Trace the source of funds for a deposit and explain which evidence supports your assessment.
Identify who controls a business applying for an account and work out which checks are still needed.
Review deposits, play and withdrawals to decide whether the case needs further checks.
You can apply the same approach in many other sectors, including fintech, e-money institutions, crypto-asset service providers (CASPs), crypto exchanges and other regulated businesses. As you move sectors, you adapt your approach to different products, risks and rules.
For graduates, career changers and people coming from customer support, operations or an early KYC role. We identify your transferable skills, choose a role to explore and build a learning plan. You can study customer due diligence, risk assessment, screening, transaction monitoring and escalation, then apply what you learn to simulated cases and, where included, a technical interview.
Roles to explore include Junior AML Analyst, KYC Analyst, CDD Analyst, Transaction Monitoring Analyst and Junior Financial Crime Analyst. If you’re considering fraud, we’ll look at the additional role-specific skills you need.
For people working in AML, KYC, financial crime or compliance. We compare your current responsibilities with those of your target role. If you’re working towards a senior analyst position, we can focus on complex cases and decision quality. For a team lead or manager role, we can practise control oversight, prioritisation, remediation and reporting to management.
For experienced professionals, the programme can also help you prepare for interviews for Deputy MLRO or MLRO responsibilities. Requirements and any approvals depend on the role and regulatory context.
Amii has 10 years of experience in career coaching and professional guidance as a Guidance Advisor. She helps you identify transferable skills, choose a role that fits your goals and communicate your experience clearly. Depending on the programme, you can work with her on your CV, LinkedIn profile and preparation for HR interviews.
Marco brings hands-on, specialist and leadership experience across banking, payments and e-money, fintech, gaming and crypto. He has also helped people informally with AML study plans, interviews and case studies. With Marco, you practise the work the role calls for and get feedback on your technical reasoning.
